Hit-and-Run Accidents in Sacramento
According to California law, a hit-and-run accident takes place anytime a driver is involved in an accident with another car, a pedestrian, a cyclist, or an object, and then flees the scene having made no effort to identify themselves, or providing necessary aid to victims who might be in desperate need of help.
It makes no difference whether or not the absconding driver is culpable for the accident, fleeing a scene is still a criminal act.
