Sacramento, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Fruitridge Rd
Sacramento, CA (October 23, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Wallace Avenue and Fruitridge Road on Wednesday, October 23rd.
According to a local news source, a car struck a male pedestrian at the South Sacramento crossing at about 5:30 a.m. The pedestrian was in the middle of the eastbound lanes of Fruitridge Road walking in the opposite direction when the collision occurred.
The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries as a result of the impact.
Police reports indicate that the offending vehicle fled the scene before officers arrived.
