Riverside County, CA: Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash in Corona
Riverside County, California (March 12, 2018): The Corona Police Department’s Collision Response Team is overseeing an active investigation into a fatal single-vehicle crash in Corona late Saturday night, March 10, 2018, that left one dead and another seriously injured. The identities of the victims have not been released and only limited information has been made available while the investigation remains ongoing.
Authorities believe the incident happened just after 11:00 p.m. when the driver of a white, late-model Mercedes lost control of the vehicle, possibly because of a wet roadway surface, and crashed into a tree near the 900 block of North McKinley Street. The Corona Fire Department was swiftly dispatched to assist victims at the scene. One person was reportedly found dead inside the vehicle while another occupant was taken to the hospital in critical condition. No updates on the injured victim’s condition have been released and no further details have been provided at this time.
