Riverside County, CA: Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Desert Hot Springs
Riverside County, California (March 20, 2018): A young woman was killed in a fatal collision with a motor vehicle in Desert Hot Springs on Saturday night, March 17, 2018. The victim has been identified as 17-year-old Pamela Carrillo, a local Desert Hot Springs resident.
Officials believe the accident happened just before 10:00 p.m. when Carrillo was struck by a 2013 Ford Fusion at the intersection of Palm Drive and Camino Aventura. Carrillo had reportedly left a friend’s house and was walking to a bus at the time of the collision. It is unknown whether any occupants of the Ford Fusion were injured in the crash and reports do not indicate whether the driver is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Authorities are still gathering information about the crash and no additional details have been made publicly available at this time.
