Riverside, CA – Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle on Van Buren Boulevard
Riverside, CA (July 24, 2019) – A pedestrian was tragically struck and injured by a vehicle on Tuesday night. The accident occurred at 10:10 p.m. on July 23rd, at the intersection of Van Buren Boulevard and Indiana Avenue.
Reports claim that pedestrian was attempting to cross Van Buren during a red light when he was hit by a southbound vehicle. The vehicle was reportedly driven by a 20-year-old Riverside driver. The pedestrian struck by the vehicle was immediately rushed to the hospital for life-threatening injuries.
The driver remained at the scene in the aftermath of the accident to assist officers. Further details have yet to be released to the public at this time. Whether drugs, alcohol, or negligence played any role in this accident is not certain at this time. Authorities are currently investigating the accident.
