Rio Oso, CA – Head-on Collision Leads to One Fatality, Injuries

Rio Oso, CA (September 1, 2018) – A deadly head-on collision was reported in Rio Oso in the area of Highway 70 around 12:34 p.m. One person lost their life and there were multiple injuries involved.

The California Highway Patrol reported that a red Honda sedan and a green Honda Civic collided. Several parties were trapped in their vehicles and required the assistance of fire department personnel to remove them.

One motorist received fatal injuries and one or two other motorists were taken to the hospital for serious injury treatment. Authorities arrived at the scene to gather information on how and why the accident took place.
