Rancho Cucamonga, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Serious Fatal Accident
Rancho Cucamonga, CA (October 4, 2018) – 21-year-old Yair Martinez-Garcia was killed in a serious fatal accident on 4th Street near Hermosa Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga early Tuesday, October 2.
The deceased man was identified as 21-year-old Yair Martinez-Garcia of Ontario. At the time, he had been crossing 4th Street near Hermosa Avenue when a truck suddenly struck him.
Martinez-Garcia was immediately taken to the hospital and died due to his injuries. The crash occurred around 12:24 a.m. just west of the intersection. The operator of the truck had been attempting to avoid the collision but failed, which caused the driver to strike the pedestrian.
Police are still searching for more information on the accident so that they can determine the cause.
