Rancho Cucamonga, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck on Arrow Route
Rancho Cucamonga, CA (September 01, 2019) – A 46-year-old woman died after she was struck by a passing car in Rancho Cucamonga on Thursday night.
On August 29th deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga station of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of a pedestrian-involved accident in the area of Arrow Route and Sierra Madre Avenue.
According to official statements, around 8:30 in the evening, a Chevrolet Spark was traveling eastbound on Arrow Route while, at that same time, a pedestrian was endeavoring to cross the street. The pedestrian, who was not in a marked crosswalk, was hit by the Chevrolet as she crossed the road.
The pedestrian has since been identified as Jennifer Lopez, a 46-year-old resident of Rancho Cucamonga;
Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Department.
The driver of the Chevrolet remained at the scene and has fully cooperated with investigators.
