Rancho Bernardo, CA – One Struck and Killed in Pedestrian Accident
Rancho Bernardo, CA (October 16, 2018) – On Monday, October 15, one pedestrian was struck and killed in a fatal pedestrian accident that took place in Rancho Bernardo when she was crossing Bernardo Heights Parkway. The accident happened around 6 p.m. that evening.
The woman, for reasons that are still unknown, was struck by a Toyota Tundra just near Calle Pueblito. The pedestrian suffered deadly injuries due to the collision. The identity of the woman is being withheld at this time until police investigate.
The driver who struck the victim stayed at the scene and continued to cooperate with the police. Right now, police are looking into the cause and believe it could have been due to road conditions as drivers passing in this area have many blind spots.
They are working to determine liability at this time.
