Pinon Hills, CA – Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on State Route 138
Pinon Hills, CA (February 15, 2019) – Police say that a man in his twenties was killed in a pedestrian accident that took place this morning on State Route 138 around 2:55 a.m.
Both the California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Firefighters responded to the accident. At the time, the pedestrian had been walking eastbound on SR-138 when an oncoming tractor-trailer came through the area and struck the pedestrian.
The driver of the truck pulled over and called 911 immediately. The man was airlifted to the hospital but was tragically pronounced deceased after arrival.
The identity of the pedestrian has not yet been released, as his family is still being notified. At this time, police continue their investigation and speak with witnesses.
