Petaluma, CA – DUI Hit-and-Run at McDowell Boulevard on Saturday
Petaluma, CA (October 1, 2018) – One person was injured in a serious DUI hit-and-run accident that took place at McDowell Boulevard and Washington Street on Saturday, September 29.
The accident took place around 11:35 a.m. and involved two vehicles.
At the time, police said that 53-year-old Gabino Gumaro Carreno-Lopez was driving a Chevy Tahoe when he suddenly struck a vehicle that was stopped at a red light on South McDowell Boulevard at East Washington Street.
Paramedics showed up at the scene and attended to the injured passenger. Police said that Carreno-Lopez fled the scene but was found by Park Lane in the area. He had twice the .08% legal limit at the time. As a result, he was arrested, according to police.
