Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run in Harvard Heights
A man was killed on Saturday morning on October 1 in Harvard Heights while crossing the street.
The victim, who was crossing at an unmarked crosswalk just after midnight at the intersection of Cambridge Street and Western Avenue, was struck by two vehicles, one of which fled the scene, according to police.
The pedestrian was hit first by a vehicle driving south on Western Avenue and a second time by a 2002 silver Toyota driving northbound.
The first driver fled but the Toyota driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Police are still seeking the first driver in the accident although no description of the vehicle has been provided.
