Palm Desert, CA – Head On Collision Kills One
Palm Desert, CA (November 15, 2018) – At approximately 11:30 on Thursday morning a two-car collision on Cook Street resulted in a major road closure and the death of one man.
According to sources, Jorn Winther, 88, of Sherman Oaks died at the scene after a vehicle headed south on Cook Street lost control and veered across northbound lanes into oncoming traffic where it collided with another car. We have not yet learned which of the two vehicles involved Winther was driving. Police do not believe that drugs or alcohol played any role in this morning’s fatal accident.
At this time no other information is available. The police are continuing to investigate the accident to determine the cause.
