Oroville, CA – Woman Identified Who Lost Life in Fatal Collision on Hwy 70
Oroville, CA (January 22, 2019) – Authorities responded to a fatal collision that took place on Sunday night, January 20 that took the life of one woman. She has since been identified as 20-year-old Crystal Haight.
The accident took place at Highway 70 near Cox Lane on Sunday night at 6:30 p.m.
Haight had been driving a white vehicle northbound when she suddenly lost control of her vehicle and veered across the center line into the opposite lanes. Her vehicle collided head-on with a southbound vehicle. Haight tragically lost her life at the scene of the accident while her 18-year-old passenger received serious injuries.
Two elderly passengers were in the second involved vehicle. They were also both seriously injured and flown to a local hospital so that they could receive treatment.
An investigation into the cause of the accident continues at this time.
