Oroville, CA – Cyclist Hit, Badly Injured
Oroville, CA (October 17, 2018) – A bicyclist suffered catastrophic injuries Wednesday morning when he was struck by a van at the cross section of 5th Street and Oro Dam Boulevard. The precise time of the collision has yet to be determined.
The cyclist was traveling south on 5th street this morning when he was struck by a van headed east on Oro Damn. The victim was rushed to a local trauma center with catastrophic injuries received in the crash. The driver of the van remained at the scene and was very cooperative with police investigators.
The investigators are hoping to obtain security footage from a nearby business in order to determine the liability as well as the cause of this accident.
