Orange County, CA: Three-Vehicle Crash Causes Car Fire on Highway 55
Orange County, California (February 23, 2018): The California Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle crash that led to a car fire on Highway 55, just north of Chapman Avenue in Orange County, early Wednesday night, February 21, 2018. Only limited information has been made available while the investigation remains ongoing.
The incident unfolded just after 8:00 p.m. when a three-vehicle collision caused a Mini Cooper to become crushed between two vehicles, which then led to one of the vehicles, a Toyota Carolla, to become engulfed in a blaze of fire. All occupants were able to evacuate their respective vehicles and an ambulance was dispatched to the scene to assist the victims, but not information on the number of people injured or the severity of those injuries has been provided.
