Orange County, CA: Motorcyclist Injured in Head-On Collision on 91 Freeway
Orange County, California (February 28, 2018): A head-on collision on 91 Freeway early Monday morning, February 26, 2018, has reportedly left a motorcyclist hospitalized with serious injuries. The victim has not yet been identified and information about the crash remains limited at this time.
Authorities believe the accident happened around 2:45 a.m. when the motorcyclist was hit head-on by a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on 91 Freeway, just outside of Anaheim, in Orange County. The vehicle then crashed into a concrete barrier along the highway.
Emergency responders immediately transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries described as “moderate.” It is unclear if the wrong-way driver was injured in the collision. Police are investigating whether alcohol played a role in the crash. No further details have been provided.
