Orange, CA – One Person Loses Life in 5 Freeway Accident Friday

Orange, CA (October 15, 2018) – On Friday, October 12, one person lost their life in a 5 Freeway accident that happened late at night. He was identified as 39-year-old Jayanth Sanampudi.

At the time of the accident, Sanampudi was headed northbound on the freeway when he suddenly lost control of his vehicle and spun clockwise across every lane. His BMW came directly into the path of a big rig that was traveling around 60 mph at the time.

When emergency responders came to the scene, they pronounced Sanampudi deceased. At this time, police have not confirmed whether or not the driver of the big rig suffered any injuries due to the accident.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.
