Ontario, CA – 55-Year-old Struck in Fatal Pedestrian Accident
Ontario, CA (October 10, 2018) – A 55-year-old named Jose Equihua was fatally struck by a vehicle near Archibald Avenue in Ontario. The accident happened this past Monday, October 8.
At the time of the accident, Equihua parked his vehicle off to the right shoulder of the roadway, as it became disabled around 8:30 a.m. He was trying to walk off of the freeway to safety when he was suddenly struck by a 2019 Lexus.
Medical personnel immediately responded to the scene but, sadly, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the scene. The Lexus driver was identified as a woman from Lakewood who was unharmed in the accident.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine liability in the accident.
