Oceanside, CA – Person Struck in Sprinter Train Accident
Oceanside, CA (August 26, 2018) – A person was struck in a Sprinter train accident on Saturday. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said injuries took place.
According to the police department, the accident took place after 12:30 p.m. on the South Coast Highway south of Oceanside Boulevard.
The bicyclist was traveling northbound on the highway and crossed a railroad crossing gate on the tracks. The rider was hit when they started crossing and the train came through.
The rider suffered minor injuries at the scene of the accident. At this time, police continue to investigate.
