Oceanside, CA – Pedestrian Struck on I-5 On-Ramp
Oceanside, CA (October 14, 2019) – A 21-year-old sustained injuries following a pedestrian accident at the intersection of Interstate 5 Freeway and Highway 76 on Monday, October 14th.
According to a local news source, a Toyota Camry struck the woman on the transition ramp from westbound SR-76 to southbound I-5. Investigators have since concluded that the Camry ran out of gas, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
Two pedestrians crossing the road together reportedly dove in opposite directions in an effort to avoid the car. One pedestrian was struck by the Camry.
She sustained critical injuries as a result of the collision.
Her identity and condition are undisclosed.
