Wrongful Deaths in Oakdale
Losing someone you love is, without question, one of the more difficult tragedies someone can endure. It’s unfortunate knowing that the death of a loved one could be preventable. In California, a wrongful death is one that was caused by someone else’s negligent or nefarious actions.
These types of claims may be filed if the behavior that caused the death would have placed the deceased in a situation to file a personal injury claim if they had survived. A wrongful death suit can, therefore, be understood in the same manner as a personal injury lawsuit but it is one in which the injured person is incapable of filing on their own behalf because they are dead.
