North Hollywood, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident at Victory Boulevard
North Hollywood, CA (March 28, 2019) – A fatal pedestrian accident took place at the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Vineland Avenue that took one life. The pedestrian has since been identified as 70-year-old Ana Maria Manzo.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office was called about the accident, where they found Manzo had been standing at a bus stop when two vehicles collided with one another. One of the vehicles involved in the accident then struck Manzo.
The crash took place when a man ran through a traffic light, when it was red, at a high rate of speed and collided with a southbound vehicle that was turning into Victory Boulevard in the afternoon hours. The vehicle veered off the side of the road and onto a sidewalk, where Manzo was hit.
Manzo was immediately transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition and, while there, she passed away due to her injuries. Police believe the driver of the vehicle that caused the accident was intoxicated at the time.
The woman in the second involved vehicle was taken to the hospital with injuries as well. The investigation continues at this time.
We understand how difficult it can be to face the aftermath of a fatal accident, which is why we would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family of Ana Maria Manzo, who have suffered an extreme loss after this accident.
