Needles, CA – Lavon Salabye, Dolores Garcia Killed in Sunday Crash
Needles, CA (July 30, 2018) – Three people are dead and three injured after a serious collision in Needles on Sunday. Authorities say that the crash occurred on Needles Highway just before 9:00 am.
At that time, Lavon Salabye, 34, was traveling southbound on the highway when he failed to properly negotiate a right turn. Salabye’s vehicle continued on, striking three vehicles in the oncoming northbound lane of travel. 48-year-old Dolores Garcia died in the crash along with Salabye. A third deceased victim has not been identified by police. Additionally, three people were hurt in the crash. There is no word on their conditions, although they were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating this crash. Police have not identified the injured victims. No additional details are currently available.
