Moorpark, CA – Officer Hurt in Motorcycle Wreck on Los Angeles Ave

Moorpark, CA (August 20, 2023) – A Ventura County Sheriff’s officer was responding to an emergency call when he was seriously hurt in a motorcycle crash.

On Wednesday afternoon, the officer was riding his motorcycle westbound on Los Angeles Avenue in Moorpark when a vehicle turned in front of him and allegedly caused the crash.

Authorities say the officer’s lights and siren were on at the time of the collision.

The officer was severely injured, but his condition is said to be stable. Details about his identity have yet to be released.

The driver of the vehicle involved was unharmed and stayed at the scene. The California Highway Patrol is in charge of the investigation into the wreck.
