Monterey County, CA: Multi-Vehicle Hit-and-Run Collision in Prunedale
Monterey County, California (March 9, 2018): At least two people are said to have suffered serious injuries as a result of a multi-vehicle hit-and-run collision on Highway 156 in Prunedale late Wednesday morning, March 7, 2018. Only limited information has been made publicly available while an active investigation into the incident remains underway.
While no specific description of the accident has been provided, officials believe the collision happened just before noon and involved at least three vehicles—a Lexus, a Jeep, a BMW. An additional unidentified vehicle may have also been involved in the incident. The drivers of both the Lexus and the Jeep were taken to different hospitals to be treated for injuries sustained in the crash. It is unknown whether any additional parties suffered injuries in the collision. Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run driver and passenger who fled the scene of the accident.
