Montecito, CA – Several People Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident
Montecito, CA (October 13, 2018) – On Tuesday in Montecito, several people were injured in a hit-and-run accident. The accident happened at the corner of Butterfly Lane and Channel Drive.
An investigation found that 22-year-old Derrick John Thompson was driving his Chevrolet Impala in the area when it went flying around the corner and struck a 58-year-old named Jennifer Jan Jenson.
At the time of the accident, police said that Thompson was being pursued by police department officials. Thompson got out of his vehicle after the accident and attempted to flee the scene on foot.
Police continue to investigate the accident.
