Modesto, CA – Pedestrian Accident Leaves Female Badly Injured
Modesto, CA (August 26, 2018) – A pedestrian accident left one female badly injured when she was struck by a vehicle on Pelandale Avenue. The accident took place Saturday around 8:37 p.m.
At the time of the accident, authorities say that the woman was trying to cross Pelandale on a dark area of the road. Officials said the woman was struck by a sedan was traveling west on Pelandale. The woman was thrown about 100 feet before she landed on the roadway.
The pedestrian was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim also had a male companion walking with her when the incident took place. The man did not sustain injuries. Luckily, the driver who struck the female pedestrian stayed at the scene to cooperate with police.
Now, police continue to investigate as they determine how the incident took place.
