Modesto, CA – Man Struck in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99
Modesto, CA (March 9, 2019) – On Thursday, March 7th, a man was struck in a fatal pedestrian accident that took place on Highway 99.
The man, who has yet to be identified, was killed in a pedestrian accident that took place on the highway in the early morning hours. The victim was seen trying to cross the northbound lanes of SR-99 when he was struck for reasons that are unknown.
Witness 27-year-old Christian Gamboa claims that she saw the man and swerved to avoid him. However, her vehicle struck him regardless of the fact.
The impact was so forceful that the unidentified man received serious trauma to his head and body. Medical personnel attempted to revive him but were unsuccessful in doing so. He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Liability in this accident is still being determined at this time.
