Modesto, CA – Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Prescott Road
Modesto, CA (September 8, 2018) – On Prescott Road, a deadly pedestrian accident took place that led to the death of one pedestrian. He was since identified as Michael Maestas. At the time, Maestas was walking across the street traveling westbound when he was suddenly struck by a Hyundai Sonata being driven by 32-year-old Israel Velez.
Emergency responders quickly came to the scene so that they could rush Maestas to the hospital. However, when he arrived there, he was quickly pronounced deceased.
Velez was unharmed in the accident. He stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.

An investigation into the matter will take place to determine who was at fault for the accident.
