Modesto, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash Causes Major Injury in Modesto
Modesto, CA (October 17, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle collision that resulted in major injury. This incident occurred in the area of Modesto at approximately 5:50 pm on Sunday, October 14.
According to Officials, 58-year-old Karol Gene Adams of Ceres was driving a 1999 Ford Expedition heading south on Albers Road, approaching the Milnes Road intersection. At the same time, 48-year-old Cota Bacasehua, of Fontana, was driving a 1999 Jeep SUV heading east on Milnes Road.
As both vehicles approached the intersection Gene Adams ran a red light and T-boned the driver’s side of the Jeep. Upon impact, the Jeep spun out of control and rolled over, finally coming to a stop on its roof. Sometime later, four ambulances were dispatched to the scene of the accident where they were able to give medical attention to the injured victims. Bacasehua had two passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Those passengers have not been identified and the extent of the injuries have not been specified. Bacasehua suffered serious internal injuries upon impact of the collision. Although Bacasehua did not appear to be at fault in the collision, he was arrested for suspicion of intoxication.
This is still an ongoing investigation, as evidence continues to surface, more information will be released to the public.
