Merced, CA: Passenger Injured in Motor Vehicle Crash on Highway 59
Merced, California (February 28, 2018): The California Highway Patrol confirms that at least one person was injured in a motor vehicle crash on Highway 59 late Sunday night, February 25, 2018. The victim has not been identified and only limited information about the accident has been made publicly available.
The cause of the collision remains unknown, but authorities believe the accident happened just before midnight, when a vehicle, described only as a sedan, crashed on Highway 59 near Childs Avenue, causing parts of the vehicle to scatter across the highway. A passenger in the vehicle reportedly suffered serious lacerations and was immediately transported from the scene to a nearby hospital. No updates on the victim’s condition have been provided.
