Merced, CA – 2 Pedestrians Injured in Canal St Crash
Merced, CA (October 13, 2019) – Two pedestrians were hospitalized following a traffic accident late Friday night, October 11th.
According to a local news source, the incident occurred at the intersection of 16th Street and Canal Street.
Police said that two women, ages 56 and 70, were crossing 16th Street when they were struck.
Paramedics as well as officials from the fire department responded to the scene and found both victims suffering from undefined injuries as a result of the crash.
Both women were then taken to a nearby medical facility in Modesto where they were both listed in stable condition.
Their names have not yet been made available.
The police would not clarify whether or not the driver of the car stopped after hitting the two pedestrians.
This accident is still under investigation.
