Mendocino County, CA: Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision in Willits
Mendocino County, California (March 13, 2018): The California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision in Willits, CA early this morning, Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Authorities have launched an active and ongoing investigation into the incident and few details have been made publicly available while investigators continue to gather information.
The collision reportedly happened just before 2:00 a.m. when a vehicle veered off the road and slid nearly 50 feet down an embankment before coming to a stop between two trees. Emergency responders were swiftly dispatched to the accident scene near the intersection of South Main Street and Holly Street in Willits.
