Manhattan Beach, CA – Woman Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Cedar Way
Manhattan Beach, California (October 30, 2018) – According to authorities, a woman was killed in a traffic collision Monday afternoon in Manhattan Beach. The accident transpired at approximately 12:15 pm on Monday, October 29th, at Cedar Way and Marine Avenue.
As per the initial report, an unidentified man was driving a burgundy Honda Accord, heading southbound on Cedar Way, when he failed to stop at a red traffic light and collided with a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was traveling east on Marine Avenue. Officials have confirmed, an elderly woman was riding as a passenger in the Accord when the crash occurred. The injured woman suffered severe injuries and paramedics transported her to a local hospital for treatment. Sadly, the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Her husband reportedly sustained moderate injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle involved also sustained injuries upon impact of the collision. The current physical condition of the injured victims was not immediately disclosed. Investigators are still trying to determine the events leading up to the fatal accident.
