Madera, CA – One Dead in Saturday Morning Crash
Madera, CA (July 29, 2018) – Tragedy struck on Saturday morning in Madera. Just after 11:00 am, a pickup truck and a sedan collided with one another. The collision took place at the intersection of Avenue 9 and Road 30. The force of the impact caused the truck to flip and the sedan to catch fire.
It became immediately apparent that this was a serious accident. An air ambulance was dispatched to provide medical attention to injured victims. Two people were trapped inside a vehicle and had to be extricated before being airlifted to a nearby hospital. Sadly, despite the best efforts of rescue personnel, one person died in the crash.
Police have not released an official cause of the collision nor have they identified the deceased individual. This accident remains under investigation as of Sunday morning. No further information is available.
