Lost Hills, CA – Manuel Acosta Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run Crash in Lost Hills
Lost Hills, California (October 24, 2018) – 26-year-old Manuel Acosta was hospitalized after he was involved in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident Tuesday evening on highway 46 in Lost Hills. According to local police, the incident transpired at approximately 7:05 pm on October 23rd.
The initial report indicates, Acosta was crossing the intersection of Highway 46 and Lost Hills Road within the crosswalk when a car struck him. Meanwhile, the driver of the unidentified vehicle did not stop after the collision but instead, fled northbound. Sometime later, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of the accident and paramedics transported Acosta to Kern Medical for more in-depth evaluation and treatment of the major injuries he sustained upon impact of the collision. The current physical condition of Acosta has not been disclosed. Buttonwillow CHP is trying to determine the sequence of events leading up to this unfortunate hit-and-run.
Presently, the investigation is ongoing. As more evidence continues to surface, more information will be available to the public.
