Los Banos, CA – 19-Year-Old Killed in Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident
Los Banos, CA (March 13, 2019) – Police reported that 19-year-old Marylne Vidales was killed in a fatal hit-and-run accident that took place on Pacheco Boulevard. At the time, Vidales was a passenger in a Nissan that had been traveling west and making a left-hand turn when it was struck.
The Nissan driver had been trying to turn into the Chevron parking lot near the 10th Street intersection when it was suddenly broadsided by a Dodge Challenger. The impact was so forceful that the Nissan split into pieces. Vidales was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
The driver and other two passengers in the Nissan were taken to local hospitals, but their names and conditions are not known at this time.
The driver of the Challenger was identified as 21-year-old Ivan Andrade. He has since been charged with vehicular manslaughter and gross negligence.
At this time, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
