Los Angeles, CA – Scooter Hit-and-Run Ends in Coma
Los Angeles, CA (September 6, 2018) – In Los Angeles, a scooter hit-and-run accident has affected two men, one of which is currently in a coma. The accident happened on September 4 around 9 p.m.
The accident took place near Glendale Boulevard and Rowena Avenue. The victim who has been left in a coma has been identified as Edras Velasquez. Velasquez was operating his motorized scooter at the time when he and a male passenger were struck by a vehicle.
Both men were ejected from the scooter as a result. The scooter was then dragged for a block. Velasquez is currently in grave condition and has bleeding on the brain. The condition of the other party is unknown at this time.
The motorist and a female passenger inside the BMW that struck them fled the scene and police have not been able to find them yet. They were last seen going onto Rowena Avenue.
