Los Angeles, CA – Pedestrian Loses Life in Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident
Los Angeles, CA (December 29, 2018) – Police say that a pedestrian lost their life in a fatal hit-and-run accident that happened in the area of Venice Boulevard on Thursday night around 8:55 p.m.
The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle for reasons that are not yet known near the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Centinela Avenue.
Fire departments and paramedics responded to the scene and found the pedestrian lying in the middle of the roadway due to the serious crash. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Their name has not yet been released, as the family of the person is still being notified.
Police say that the driver did not stop at the scene to render aid. However, the driver was thought to have been driving a black SUV at the time.
The accident remains under investigation by law enforcement.
