Los Angeles, CA – Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on West 54th Street
Los Angeles, CA (April 1, 2019) – On Saturday night, police responded to the scene of a hit-and-run pedestrian accident that took place in the 600 block of West 54th Street.
Police said that the pedestrian had allegedly been crossing the street around 9:45 p.m. that night when, suddenly, they were struck by an oncoming vehicle who did not stop in time. The driver then fled the scene without checking on the condition of the pedestrian.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Medical Relations Unit stated that the pedestrian lost their life at the scene of the crash. They have not yet been identified.
There is no description of the suspect’s vehicle at this time. However, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
