Los Angeles County, CA: Three Children Injured in Fatal Santa Clarita Crash
Los Angeles County, California (March 5, 2018): Authorities are conducting an active investigation into a fatal rear-end crash on 5 Freeway in Santa Clarita, CA, on Saturday morning, March 3, 2018. Only limited information has been made available while the investigation remains open.
Officials believe the crash happened just before 10:00 a.m. when one of the vehicles rear-ended the other in the southbound lanes of 5 Freeway near Calgrove Boulevard, just north of Highway 14 in Santa Clarita. While the precise manner in which the accident unfolded has not been made clear, the vehicles involved have been identified as a tan Mercedez-Benz SUV and a gray Chevrolet sedan. The force of the collision caused one of the vehicles to lose control and crash into the center median.
