Los Angeles County, CA: Pedestrian Injured After Accident in Arlington Heights
Los Angeles County, California (March 6, 2018): A pedestrian was injured after being dragged by a vehicle for a quarter of a mile in a terrible pedestrian hit-and-run in Arlington Heights late Sunday night, March 4, 2018. Authorities are conducting an active investigation into the incident and information is limited while the investigation remains open.
Officials believe the unidentified victim was standing beside his vehicle looking for something inside around 11:30 p.m. when he was struck by a passing vehicle near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Second Avenue. After dragging the victim approximately one-quarter mile, the hit-and-run driver left the victim in the street and fled the scene. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, but no updates on his condition have been provided and the severity of the injuries involved is unknown. Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run driver. They believe the vehicle was gray in color, may have been a Nissan Versa, and could have damage on the passenger side. Anyone with any information should contact the authorities as soon as possible.
