Los Angeles County, CA: Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash in Lake View Terrace
Los Angeles County, California (March 23, 2018): Authorities have launched an active investigation into a fatal single-vehicle crash in Lake View Terrace, CA, yesterday morning, Thursday, March 22, 2018. The victims have not yet been identified and only limited details have been made publicly available while the investigation remains open.
The single-vehicle collision was reported to authorities just before 10:00 a.m. and emergency response crews were swiftly dispatched to the accident location in the westbound lanes of 210 Freeway, near Wheatland Avenue. While the cause of the collision remains unknown, the vehicle, an SUV, apparently veered off the road, crashed into a guardrail, and fell more than 100 feet down an embankment off the highway. At least one person was killed in the course of the collision and another has been described as gravely wounded. A third occupant of the vehicle reportedly suffered minor injuries in the crash.
