Los Angeles County, CA: Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Granada Hills
Los Angeles County, California (March 5, 2018): The victim of a fatal rear-end motorcycle crash on 118 Freeway in Granada Hills, CA early Friday morning, March 2, 2018, has been identified as 50-year-old Darran Ray. Authorities have launched an active investigation into the incident and only limited information has been made publicly available while the investigation remains open and ongoing.
Official believe the collision happened around 5:00 a.m. when Ray’s westbound 2016 Suzuki Bandit rear-ended a black 2007 Acura RSX on 118 Freeway, not far from Balboa Boulevard. The Acura may have been involved in another accident just before the collision and did not have its lights activated at the time of the crash. Ray died from fatal injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Acura, an unidentified 26-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and complained of neck pain after the crash. Slick road due to inclement weather may have been a factor in the collision. No additional details have been reported at this time.
