Los Angeles County, CA: Bicyclist Injured in Santa Clarita Crash

Los Angeles County, California (February 27, 2018): Authorities are investigating a motor vehicle accident in which a bicyclist was hit by a vehicle on The Old Road in Santa Clarita, CA, Sunda morning, February 25, 2018. Only limited information about the incident has been made available to the public.

The cyclist, who has not been identified, was reportedly struck by a gray Toyota Camry just after 10:30 a.m. and emergency crews were immediately dispatched to the scene on The Old Road, near Calgrove Boulevard just underneath the 5 Freeway overpass. The cyclist was treated by paramedics at the scene and was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. No updates on the victim’s condition have been provided.

Reports do not indicate whether the driver of the Camry, who has also not been identified, is cooperating with the investigation or suffered any injuries as a result of the crash. No additional details have been released at this time.
