Los Angeles, CA – Woman Injured in Hit-and-Run at 27th St & Griffith Ave
Los Angeles, CA (August 15, 2023) – The LAPD is searching for a box-style car after a hit-and-run left a pedestrian gravely injured early on Sunday morning in the Historic South-Central area of South Los Angeles.
A woman on a small, motorized “pocket bike” was struck by a car that may have been a Scion xB or Nissan Cube near the intersection of 27th Street and Griffith Avenue at about 3:45 a.m., according to a news statement from the Los Angeles Police Department.
The woman was rushed to the emergency room of a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Los Angeles Police Department has released surveillance video in an effort to identify the vehicle and its driver. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to the identity or capture of the suspect driver.
Witnesses with information were asked to contact Detective Juan Campos with the LAPD.
