Los Angeles, CA – Man Killed in COASTER Train Wreck in Del Mar
Los Angeles, CA (September 5, 2023) – A third pedestrian was killed by a COASTER train on Monday evening, September 4.
A man was hit and killed by a train in Del Mar, the third person in about a week to be hit by a COASTER train.
Around 9:00 p.m. on Monday night, sheriff’s officers were notified that a man had been struck by a northbound train at the intersection of Via de la Valle and Camino del Mar. The man was taken to the hospital, but the Sheriff’s Transit Enforcement Unit reports that he passed away a short time later.
No additional details have been released, and the incident investigation remains active.
