Los Angeles, CA – Head-on Crash at Ave E & 50th St Results in Two Fatalities, Critical Injuries
Los Angeles, CA (August 13, 2023) – On Sunday afternoon, injuries were reported after two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision that left two dead and four wounded in the Lancaster area.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were alerted to the accident on Avenue E at 50th Street eastbound at about 12:45 p.m., according to authorities.
Two victims were pronounced dead at the site, while two others were sent to the hospital in critical condition. The surviving patients were transported to the Antelope Valley Medical Center.
The causes of the crash and whether or not drugs or alcohol played a role are not yet known. Authorities shut down the road for several hours while investigating and clearing the scene.
