Los Angeles, CA: Bicyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision with FedEx Truck
Los Angeles, California (March 16, 2018): Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision between a bicycle and a FedEx truck on Washington Boulevard in Los Angeles yesterday morning, Thursday, March 15, 2018. The victim has not yet been identified and only limited information has been made publicly available while the investigation remains ongoing.
Officials believe the collision happened around 8:30 a.m. when a bicycle on East Washington Boulevard was hit by a large FedEx truck exiting Staunton Avenue onto the northbound lanes of Washington Boulevard. The reasons for the collision have not yet been determined. The bicyclist became pinned under the truck and died of fatal injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the FedEx truck fled the scene of the accident and it is unclear whether the suspect remains at-large.
